How It Works

What makes Reiki so amazing is its ability to also heal across time and space. One of the symbols discovered by Dr. Usui is dedicated to this very purpose. In order to ensure the most effective energy channeling when in-person treatment is not feasible, Hummingbird Nation likes to take the following steps:

• I will have the client on a phone or zoom call during the session, ideally with the client sitting or lying down and listening to soothing music.

• If the client is unable to attend, uncomfortable, or unable to relax during a zoom or phone call, then I can use a picture of the client printed and placed under a mannequin with the client’s full name written on the back.

• I will also have a description of the healing or attunement desired by the client written on a piece of paper and placed under the mannequin.

• Healing is then done on the mannequin, which has been cleansed and then attuned to the client’s energy. My hands are placed on, or hover above, the mannequin just as they would be on the client during a traditional in-person session.
